Tim Panasiuk (Founder, Gibbons Motor Toys) opened the doors of his automotive repair and maintenance shop called ‘The Service Department’.
Through hard work and first-class customer service, Tim excelled and became a Mercury Marine dealership in 1989.
The recreational side of the business thrived prompting a name change to ‘Gibbons Auto & Leisure Centre’ in 1990.
His love for the outdoors sparked further growth which resulted in the addition of the Ski-doo snowmobile franchise in 1995 followed by Bombardier ATV’s in 1999.
By 2000 the recreational side of the business had become a staple allowing the automotive repair sector to be permanently retired. This created the need for a new company name and Gibbons Motor Toys, as we know it today, was born.
Gibbons Motor Toys opened a second location in Salmon Arm, British Columbia to expand its’ marine business footprint.
Since then Gibbons Motor Toys has grown rapidly, becoming a market leader in heavy gauge aluminum boats and powersports products.
